3rd Shift Production Assistant
Location: Branchburg, NJ
Schedule: 10pm-6am
Pay Rate: $20/hour


POSITION SUMMARY:

Directly reports to the Group Leader for assignments, direction, and assistance.  Deals regularly with other Compounders, Senior Compounders and Inventory/Material Control personnel.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

A.     Packs production orders and labels them in a manner that meets company standards for safety and productivity including the submission of pre/co-ship samples as required.  Responsible for all orders being filled completely and accurately, including associated paperwork according to HACCP procedures.
B.      Maintains self, equipment, and working area in a clean, neat and orderly manner following good manufacturing practices and cleaning procedures. Responsible for informing the Group Leader or Production Manager of food safety problems.
C.     Supports daily activities necessary to complete each compound.  Handling of ingredients, machine operation, mixing and blending of materials (as directed – typically simple formulas), proper labeling and documentation and replenishment of automation storage containers; all of which are equally important in producing quality products.

Perform work safely and efficiently, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.  Follows odor/dust environmental control procedures.
Assists in the proper completion of production sheets, turns in samples and paperwork when completed.
Communicates with supervision on status and/or problems and issues.
Supports and participates in Safety and GMP and HACCP training. Complies with OSHA and safety policies.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or Equivalency preferred
Must be proficient in the English language
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a warehousing environment required (chemical or flavor/fragrance industry preferred).
Mechanical aptitude to understand and operate filling & process equipment (including scales and CIP/COP equipment). 
Good math skills to calculate (solutions, addition, subtraction, percentages, metric conversions). 
Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment in order to exceed customer requirements.  
Must be dependable and punctual.  Must be able to drive a forklift.
Must be able to lift/move drums, pumps, and other process equipment up to 30kg repeatedly during a normal work day
Must be fully Vaccinated or file a religious or medical exemption (which will have to be approved and get tested weekly) or be willing to get vaccinated within 60 days of working
