We are hiring chefs to work for Meriton
In this venue every day is different as you will be both engaged in general lunch service, canape functions and sit down set menus.

This role is initially casual however moving into the new year full time employment will be an option for the right candidates.

As a chef you will be assisting with the day to day operations of the kitchen, managing sections and ensuring high quality dishes are being served to our guests.

30-38 hours available.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook high quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes
Ensuring all dishes are presented/ garnished correctly and consistently
Service Preparation: Garnishes, Ingredients, Sauces, sides etc
Receiving, recording and accounting for supplies and deliveries
Following kitchens regular cleaning practices
Assist in training junior chefs and trainees
WHS – adhering to and implement sanitation and safety regulations
Using safe work practices and supporting others to use them
Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment
Monitoring portion and waste control
Maintain a positive and professional approach to co-workers and customers
Opening and Closing kitchen
Restaurant experience preferred.
