OLH Technical Services, LLC., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a government industry leader, is looking for a Facility Manager Instructor to join our Team!

The Facility Manager (FM) Instructor will be the primary point of contact for the courses to which he/she is assigned and/or areas/initiatives tasked to conduct. Additionally, he/she will serve as the backup instructor to the FM Tradecraft Course Chair. The FM instructor position is interdisciplinary and requires the application of expert-level professional knowledge in one or more fields in facility management. Under the guidance of MTT leadership, the incumbent serves as a coordinator and instructor of a facility management training program. The incumbent ensures that all facility management training and guidance meet the needs of Department of State facility manager professionals and the larger foreign affairs community. Primary responsibilities in these programs include teaching several major courses; designing curriculum and courses; counseling participants at FSI and officials in the Department; advising other staff at FSI; and evaluating training results. The incumbent not only carries a heavy teaching, counseling, and administrative load, but must also keep constantly informed of developments in the relevant fields so that the latest knowledge and relevant facilities standards are made available to participants and to officials in the Department of State on a consultative basis.

Responsibilities:

Plan long and short-range curriculum for the FM program.
Respond to requests for unscheduled or customized courses.
Identify speakers and pedagogical materials and resources for the program.
Maintain expertise and visibility necessary to instruct the program participants and serve as a MTT Division subject matter expert.
Teach courses within areas of expertise.
Develop curricula for all courses within the program.
Continuously research to keep materials and course content updated and cutting edge.
Continuously develop and maintain professional contacts who will be resources for the courses.
Maintain and develop professional contacts with other government agencies and provide training and consultation to those agencies in accordance with FSI policies.
Develop and maintain course evaluation instruments according to FSI policy.
Analyze evaluation data.
Conduct needs assessments and utilize evaluation data to design offerings in the regional program.


Requirements:

US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance or higher are preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in related fields including engineering, property management, facility management, business administration, construction science or architecture.
Four or more years of multi-site facility management experience in a government agency.
Knowledge of facility maintenance management planning, safety and physical security practices and procedures, environmental safety and health practices and procedures, acquisition and contracting procedures to include service contracts, contractor performance and statements of work, basic facility accounting, computer applications, facility management fundamentals, physical plant operations, and technical expertise, knowledge of physical plant operation, building structures, and grounds, architectural and engineering drawings, facility condition inspection, equal employment opportunity (EEO) policies, construction methods, human resources/talent management policies, building codes, facility warranty process, machines and tools, cost analysis, and principles of real property inventory and methods.
Knowledge and skills in the development of curricula and courses.
Skills in adult education, ideally involving the subject matter for which the position is responsible.
Knowledge and skills in training evaluation to be able to evaluate the results of the courses for which the position is responsible.
Knowledge of and the ability to carry out management and administrative functions as required in connection with the courses for which the position is responsible.
Familiarity with and the ability to use computer and related technologies and excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in order to carry out and/or facilitate the accomplishment of numerous functional responsibilities of the position.
Demonstrated ability to teach and facilitate classroom activities that support the training program.
Commitment to a team-oriented, collaborative work environment.
Program management experience.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with non-technical and technical staff.
Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
