Experience in designing fire protection systems (special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems)
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
Strong understanding of life safety and asset protection systems

Responsibilities
Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software
Direct contractors in the proper installation and operation of systems
Survey job sites to ensure proper design and installation
Read, review, and implement customer-supplied project specifications
Attend manufacturer training classes and continued education
Create project-specific operation and maintenance manuals
Update existing drawings
Assist office staff with engineering-related tasks
Assist with system inspection and maintenance as needed
Support system startups and commissioning as needed
Qualifications
Experience in designing fire protection systems (special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems)
Bachelors degree (preferred but not required)
NICET Certification (nice to have)
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
Education Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field preferred
