Job Description
PeopleReady ofComptonhas an immediate opening forGeneral Labors in Long Beach, CA.The job duties of aGeneral Laborvary, sometimes even day-to-day at the same site. They may include cleaning and preparing a jobsite, loading and delivering materials; using different tools and machines, such as blowtorches; driving forklifts; reading levels; operating lifts; and manning power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment. Laborers set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures. They help carpenters, masons, and other specialized contractors.
Labors and helpers work in all fields of construction, commercial jobs, and other businesses, and the demand for these workers should mirror the level of overall activity. We would love to add more General Labor like you.
Note - Pay Rate for this Job is $17/Hour
Shift Timing - 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening), 3rd Shift (Night)
Responsibilities Include:
•
Labor work, working with ash, chipping, power
• Washing, shoveling etc. some confined space required, to ensure safety, full face is required.
Qualifications:
•
Must be committed to about 12hour shifts, typically 5-6 days per week.
• Must have reliable vehicle. Not an easy location to get to & no public transportation available in this area.
• Because trash is burning all day, lots of ash is produced, associates will be conducting labor work:
• working with ash,
• chipping,
• power washing
• shoveling etc.
• full-face requires clean shaven
• Background (7yrs)
• Drug Screen (5pannel)
