WHY ARE WE HIRING AN INVENTORY MANAGER?
Indigo Mid-Atlantic is a part of the DC Smart Streetlights Project, the first P3 (Public Private Partnership) contract that has been awarded in DC. The purpose of the DC Smart Streetlights Project is to upgrade every streetlight (75,000+ lights) in DC to LED technology, which will increase public and traffic safety in all eight wards. It will also eliminate 38,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that is located in or around Washington, DC, who is looking for the chance to utilize their inventory experience to make a positive, visible, and lasting difference in the District.

The Inventory Manager will be directly involved in the project and will be responsible for maintaining inventory on all streetlight assets acquired for the installation and rehabilitation of DC's streetlights. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday, day shift, onsite in DC, with a pay range of $28.85-$31 per hour. SUMMARY:
The Inventory Manager has the responsibility of providing critical logistical services on a large construction project to ensure that streetlight assets are properly installed and/or rehabilitated in a timely fashion. The Inventory Manager shall report directly to the Inventory Management Project Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Receives material, manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels
-Evaluates deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures
-Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages
-Manages schedules of deliveries and shipments to optimize operations (in coordination with the Inventory
Management Project Manager)
-Releases materials to construction crews and records the material released
-Develops business relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
-Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics
-Monitors consumption and demand by subcontractors and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and
logistical needs
-Reports on inventory levels to the client project team (installed, in stock, pending delivery, etc.)
-Records material returned from subcontractors and processes warranty claims
-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
-May perform other duties as assigned

REPORTS TO:
Inventory Management Project Manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
-High School Diploma/ G.E.D
-5 - 10 years of general work experience

Preferred:
-Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or
similar
-Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Time management and project scheduling skills
-Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
-Normal office environment and field environment, may be exposed to different weather elements
-Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy
machine, and computer printer
-Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
-Frequently communicates with subcontractors and the client project team
