Our YouthConnect program is designed to address the unique needs of at-risk and high-risk urban youth referred to the program. Social workers assist in improving the youth’s overall behaviors and performance in school, home, and community. Using our four-tier service model, social workers develop and provide appropriate intervention and treatment strategies, including referrals to community-based agencies, clinical case management, individual and family therapy, parental guidance, and advocacy.

The primary responsibility is to serve as a resource within the Club, providing various short-term social services and referrals to members and their families. This position will provide services at two locations. At designated Clubs, Social Workers may also oversee, coordinate and supervise the Inclusion Program/Staff, Junior Staff Program, and/or the Young Leader Program.

Position Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Work Demands)

MSW is required at hire, and LCSW is to be obtained and maintained within six months of employment required.
Three years pre- or post- Masters experience working with youth and families.
Knowledge of social service issues, trends, and resources.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
MS Office and web competency preferred.
Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to travel between two locations
Flexibility to work clubhouse hours, especially as seasons and service needs change.
A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required.
