Eagle Harbor, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Marine Engineer / Naval Architect.



Responsibilities:

Design and build basic structure of ships.
Design and supervise construction of aircraft carriers, submarines, sailboats, and tankers.
Design the form and stability of hulls.
Develop sectional and waterline curves of hull to establish center of gravity.
Design propulsion and steering systems.
Establish arrangement of boiler room equipment and propulsion machinery.
Operate or supervise the operation of marine machinery on ships.
Select materials and write specifications for suppliers and construction workers.
Design cargo space, passenger compartments, and ladder wells.
Remodel vessels.
Perform repairs as necessary.
Research use of new materials and techniques.
Use complex mathematical and physical models to ensure that the ship's design is satisfactory.
Undertake risk analysis assessment of ships and other marine vessels.


Requirements:

US Citizen
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
Active Secret Clearance
Fifteen years demonstrated experience with government vessel design, construction, and repair with primary focus on marine engineering, machinery control systems, auxiliary systems integration, and systems engineering.
Experience performing detailed design and analysis in order to evaluate planned engineering changes in support of major shipbuilding acquisition the (DHS/USCG Level 1, DoD ACAT I, or equivalent) and repair projects.
Active Professional Engineer’s License in Mechanical Engineering.
