1. Job Summary:

The Senior Program Director contributes to the overall goals of the YMCA Association by providing leadership and coordination of multiple program and service areas including but not limited to Youth Development, Camping, Beacons, School Success, Child Care. The incumbent is responsible for developing, delivering, and administering the varied program portfolios of all facility and community based programming.  The incumbent is responsible for recruiting, hiring, supervising, and developing team members.

2. Essential Functions: 
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and develop team members and volunteers.
Develop and manage programs and activities for all facility and community based programming.
Build and maintain relationships with agency and community partners to advance the mission of the programs.
Write and assemble grant proposals as needed.
Manage the requirements of established grant outcomes and provide required program data for local, state and federal program reports/evaluations.
Manage the program budgets to assure that financial and program service goals are attained.
Perform required administrative duties for the program.
Communicate and interpret programs, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to all department team members, volunteers and Y members and participants.
Deliver a high level of service for all program participants.
Participate in a staff leadership role for the Annual Campaign and Board Committees as defined by the Executive Director.
3. Relationships:

This position reports to the Executive Director or Program Executive. The incumbent has both supervisory and budgetary responsibilities.  This incumbent supervises and interacts regularly with staff, members, and the community.  This position requires regular interaction with youth, families, and seniors from a variety of diverse backgrounds. 

4. Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience working in youth development or community programs.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience designing, implementing and evaluating youth development or community programs.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Ability to plan, organize, and implement youth programs.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various groups to achieve a desired end result.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets.
Must be organized, self-directed, and creative.
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Must be certified in CPR/AED and First Aid Training, or able to become certified within the first 30 days of employment. (Training available upon employment)

Experience in fundraising
Experience in grant writing
Multilingual

5. Work Conditions:

Travel locally and nationally to various locations to attend meetings and special events.
Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.

6. Additional Notes:
