The Lead Technology Risk Manager is a role within the Global Technology Risk function of BNY Mellon. This is a 2nd line risk function accountable for the oversight, credible challenge of technology risks. The candidate will utilize deep technical expertise and risk management experience to challenge / advise on technology risks to strengthen the front line.

Responsibilities:

Partner with the 1st Line of defense and assess their compliance with enterprise level Technology Risk in all matters of Digital Assets Custodian Technology and Blockchain related technologies in general.
Apply understanding of systems and solutions architecture, data architecture, software development, operations, system life cycle, technical controls, etc. to anticipate technology risks inherent to the assigned areas of technology.
Lead the assessment, monitoring and reporting on technology risks inherent to business activities, including digital blockchain, cyber, information security and technology risk concepts.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Minimum 8+ years of total work experience
Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM would be a plus.
Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them forward in a collaborative manner.
Must be articulate, organized, able to work in a collaborative manner and comfortable managing multiple tasks at the same time.
Hands-on experience with any of the following is desired: Blockchain, Digital Assets, Cloud, Big Data, Insider Threat technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning.
Understanding of the crypto currency and broader digital assets market would be helpful.
Appetite for learning is also a must – opportunity to work on state of the art technologies and participate in associated industry forms.
