Job Description
Primary Skill : z/VSE Architect
Secondary Skill : Experience : (12+yrs)
? Excellent understanding of System Z/VSE architecture (z/VSE 6.2)
? Excellent understanding of System ZOS architecture
? Excellent experience with IBM z/VSE & ZOS operating system
? Experience in building Mainframe LPAR and OS Upgrades
? Knowledge Catalog management, IBM system utilities
? Validation of the current tools setup in ZVSE environment
? Replace existing tools with new proposed tools in ZVSE environment
? Work on target architecture design
? Will be responsible for installing, customizing & testing new tools in ZVSE
environment.
? Products Installation and Configuration, customization based on customer
setup.
? Installation of patches and fixes
? Installation and maintenance of ISV products, REXX, RMF, SMF
? System parameters/parmlib maintenance
? Managing incidents on z/VSE & ZOS related issues
? z/VSE & ZOS performance monitoring and reporting
? Knowledge on DFSMS, DFSMShsm, Flashcopy, ICF Catalogs, HCD
? Capable of planning and supporting Disaster recovery exercises
? Performance tuning & Development of operational procedures
? Experience with system indicators (logs, dumps, error) logs for pro-active
management of system problems
? Installation and maintenance of ISV products - OPS/MVS, CA-1, CA-7, CA-11,
ACF2 Suite, CA Common Services, CASpool, Easytrieve, Compuware Enterprise
Common Components, Strobe, Xpediter/TSO, FileAid, Abendaid / Batch, Xpediter
Code Coverage, DevEnterprise, Workbench, MXG, NetView
