Must have AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PDM and Nesting software experience in a manufacturing environment dealing with sheet metal design
Job Summary:
The engineer technician is responsible to assist in producing manufacturing ready designs by creating drawings and work packets for protective sound attenuating generator enclosures, UL listed diesel sub-base fuel tanks and service platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
Assemble production work packets following standard templates
Nest orders and compile all raw material estimations required to complete jobs
Draft part and assembly drawings
Ensure designs conform to company design standards
Responsible for accuracy of work packets, nests, materials, and drawings to prevent rework and scrap
Follow and adhere to production schedule for production release dates to manufacturing
Job Qualifications:
Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD, and nesting software (Columbus)
High attention to details
Hands-on manufacturing experience
Thorough understanding of sheet metal design
Knowledgeable of SolidWorks best practices
Understanding of manufacturing machine capabilities and fabrication equipment
Strong work ethic with demonstrated accountability and able to work efficiently with minimum supervision
Ability to problem solve, find root causes, and take preventive or corrective actions
