United Structure Solutions, a leading MWBE subcontractor specializing in architectural metals is looking to hire a Controller to oversee the expansion of the company's accounting team.
The candidate will assist the CFO in the supervision of the accounting team including technology roll outs, setting policies and procedures, development of junior staff and BAU accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have a strong accounting/finance background with a mindset for process improvement and business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly financial packages and disseminate the results to the executive committee
Own monthly AIA requisitions and compliance submissions including but not limited to certificates of insurance and MWBE/minority reporting
Oversees the accounting process for AR, AP, payroll, GL activities. The ideal candidate should have a clear understanding of the dynamics between the 3 financial statements.
Assist with building out a robust Finance Team with understanding of best practices and a technology focused mindset.
Owns the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and preparation of financial statements
Assist the CFO in the implementation and onboarding of a new SaaS accounting system
Perform ad-hoc analysis and generate custom reports for the CFO
Set up period meetings with the PM team to communicate financial results to ensure projects are staying within budget and costs are properly allocated
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
