Waikiki Health is recruiting for a full time IT Network Specialist position (ITNS). The IT Network Specialist is responsible for resolving technical issues, upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of the computer systems, network, and security systems throughout the organization including the following sites: Ohua, Makahiki, PATH, Shelter, and Youth Outreach. The ITNS is one of the first points of contact for the Director of Information Technology, management, staff, and external contractors as it relates to the specific duties of this position.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Maintains and masters the management, implementation, and maintenance of currently deployed version(s) of Microsoft and Cisco technologies and other systems and networks applied by Waikiki Health.
• Ensures the network and infrastructure are as efficient as possible, fixes any problems or bugs that have been identified, and apply upgrades as needed.
• Ensure regular tests and data backups are performed regularly throughout the year to ensure the system always works efficiently and to protect the company’s data.
• Assist with network security administration tasks; including but not limited user account management, group policy management, and permissions management, monitoring network activity for security threats, and implementing security measures to protect the network
• Supports the training and dissemination of knowledge to other members of the IT team
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (Associates degree plus 2 years of network specialist, system, or network administrator/engineer experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree)
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible work in information technology which involved configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network hardware, software, security, and communication links. The work must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information technology principles, methods, techniques, and practices
• CompTIA A+, Network +, Security+, Server+, Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications (preferred)
• Experience with local area network and wide area network.
• Proven knowledge of physical and cloud virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Microsoft Azure.
• Possesses awareness of current network trends and security threats.
• Dependable and flexible when necessary.
• Ability to quickly learn technologies using documentation and internet resources.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, excellent communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to plan, manage and oversee multi-faceted, complex, multi-phase projects.
• Ability to work with all levels of IT staff inside and outside the organization.
• Ability to train and provide guidance to lower-level IT and non-technical individuals to improve their technology skills.
