A Pool Maintenance Supervisor will be directly in charge of the maintenance and operations of client facilities, in their assigned zone. The ideal candidate must have good communication skills and a positive attitude to effectively communicate with clients in the heat of the summer. The supervisor will also need to effectively communicate and show leadership skills to lead the pool technicians. At least one year of swimming pool experience preferred, but not required. A pool maintenance supervisor must demonstrate the ability to learn many skills in relation to pool pump systems, water chemistry testing, and adjusting the water chemical levels by direct application.
A company truck will be provided during work hours for job use. This position requires walking, bending and lifting, so good physical stamina is a must, as well as having tolerance to heat and humidity of the summer weather. Pool maintenance is anything but routine. It is dynamic and requires motivated, responsible individuals with attention to detail and awareness to changing conditions. On-the-job training is provided and Certified Pool Operation (CPO) Certificates can be obtained.
Qualifications
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must have transportation to and from work (warehouse in Marietta, GA)
• Obtain CPO certificate- Company will reimburse certification costs.
• At least one year of pool experience or other relevant trade (Preferred, not required)
• Weekend and some holiday availability
• Good communication skills
• Mechanically Inclined/driven person
Responsibilities Must be willing to learn or be able to demonstrate performance of the following:
• Ensure that pool is vacuumed and brushed
• Ensure trash is collected and trash bins are rolled out to their respective locations
• Must train, guide, and communicate with pool technicians
• Assist lifeguards with responsibilities at the guarded accounts
• Respond to client phone calls in a timely fashion
• Visit client facility as is outlined in the client’s contract (2-3x/ week)
• Setting out, organizing and thoroughly cleaning furniture
• Pulling, folding and storing pool covers
• Maintain supplies at each facility as needed throughout the season
• Ensure that all safety equipment and signage are in good repair and properly hung
• Basic water chemistry testing skills including chlorine, pH, calcium, alkalinity, cyanuric acid, and salt levels
• Use related power tools and equipment for minor repairs
• Be able to perform minor repairs
• Fill out any log sheets to document each maintenance visit detailing any repairs or adjustments that were made to the respective facility
• Operate on multiple pump room systems in order to backwash, operate vacuum, and prime pumps
• Operate facilities according to local and state health codes
