Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or GeoPAK
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and documents

Responsibilities

Perform basic mathematic calculations relevant to CAD projects
Detail and develop construction plans based on designer information
Read and follow CAD standards, conventions, and guidelines
Review and check plans for accuracy
Utilize station offset methods to set points
Estimate man-hours required for project completion
Process engineering calculations using software with minimal supervision
Produce site plans and utility layouts with guidance from designers
Import survey data into Civil 3D
Generate boundary and topographical surveys
Create stake-out coordinates for field crew

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of professional full-time CAD experience in a similar industry
Understanding of CAD standards and practices
Strong background in civil engineering or surveying drafting
Ability to effectively collaborate with designers and engineers

Education Requirements

High school graduate required
Associates degree in a related field preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

Civil Engineering/Surveying or related field

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in CAD and civil engineering
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is highly desirable
At least 40 hours of additional field experience preferred

a. Creating, modifying and fixing DTMs/Surfaces.

b. Knowledge of how to create, modify and use Point Groups.

c. Creating and importing data into a Survey Database.

d. Creating break lines from Survey Figures and modifying Survey Figures.

e. Interpreting and Mapping existing utilities accurately from a variety of record types including scans, JPGs, PDFs and GIS data.

7. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
